CALLERLAB is pleased to announce that the Mainstream Committee has approved two key updates that will guide future instruction for the Mainstream Program effective September 1, 2026.

New Recommended Mainstream Teaching Order Adopted
Committee members voted to adopt an updated teaching order for the (new) Mainstream Program. This revised sequence is intended to support clearer, more consistent instruction for dancers and callers.

Minimum Instructional Time Established
The committee also approved a new recommended minimum of 30 hours of instruction for teaching the Mainstream Program. This standard is designed to ensure dancers receive a solid foundation

Next Steps
The new Mainstream List will take effect September 1, 2026.
The committee will now begin work on a new Mainstream Instructional Guide/Playbook to support callers in applying these updates.
